In short
This site counts visits so we can tell which verses and pages help study groups, and whether people find their way to starting one. No ads, no remarketing, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
What analytics records
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It records:
- pages and verses viewed, how you arrived (for example, a link in a newsletter), and your device, browser and approximate location;
- actions on the site, such as moving between verses, filtering commentators, words typed into the verse search, and whether a form was sent.
It never receives your name, your email address, or what you write in our forms. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. We keep analytics data for 14 months.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to recognise a returning browser. In the European Union, the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland they are only set if you accept. Everywhere else they are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time.
You can also block analytics in every site you visit with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Forms
The group registration and question forms in the facilitator toolkit are delivered by FormSubmit to Lena's inbox. What you send is used only to keep in touch about the study groups and Olga's Q&A sessions. Ask any time and we'll delete it.
